Enabling Evidence-based Practice in Antibiotic Use
8 AUGUST 2024
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is recognised as one of the top 10 public health threats facing humanity.
The Minimising AMR Mission, led by CSIRO, has committed to halting the rising death rate and economic burden of antimicrobial resistance by 2030 and our collaborative efforts play a pivotal role in achieving this important goal. As the national peak body for health and medical research, Research Australia is pleased to be working alongside CSIRO to support appropriate antibiotic use and address physical barriers to change.
Thank you for your willingness to participate and contribute to a united, collaborative policy platform that champions change to facilitate appropriate antibiotic use.
This roundtable will be convened by Research Australia and CSIRO and aims to build consensus for policy, research, and practice recommendations to support correct drug, dosage and duration in antibiotic use. The outcomes and themes from this roundtable will be used to create an endorsed, communique for use with Government and will form the basis of future communication activity with the broader health sector.
Details of the project, how your information will be used, and how your privacy will be protected are in the attached participant information sheet.
Please note, this project has been approved by CSIRO's Social Science Human Research Ethics Committee in accordance with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007).
